You decided to buy tickets to Russia and here you may see Moscow airports in order  to choose the best one for you.

There are 4 airports in Moscow:

◾️ Sheremetyevo – north area – the biggest airport in Moscow and were the main air gates for World Cap 2018 [ http://www.svo.aero/en/ ]

◾️ Vnukovo – southwest area -not big airport but the closest to the city. [http://www.vnukovo.ru/en/]

◾️ Domodedovo – south area, big airport with huge number of international flights. [http://www.dme.ru/en/]

◾️ Zhukovsky – southeast area -lowcost airlines airport and the farthest distance from the city center [http://www.zia.aero/en/].

How to get city from airports:

⬜️ Railway train – price – 130 Rub (~2$) – 1 hr duration (less recommended option)

⬜️ Aeroexpress – price  420 Rub (~7$) – 30-45 min [https://aeroexpress.ru/en/aero.html – can buy tickets online in advance] – best option with traffic in the city, clean comfortable railway carriages with snacks and wifi.Trains come to the railway stations in the center (not applicable for Zhukovsky airport).

⬜️ Bus to the closest underground station – price  ~100 Rub (1.5$) – 45min – 1 hr to metro 3 30-40 min to center.

⬜️ Taxi from airport to the center : – price 1.000 – 1.500 Rub (~16-24$) -1-1.5hr (see the Blog article about transport in Moscow)

Best case is to consider how you want to get the city (I would definitely recommend by taxi as the most beneficial option due to spent time vs money if there is no traffic jam. All information board and guides you may find at airports.
